Only a week after debuting its first ever branch at Eastleigh, DIB Bank Kenya has today launched another new branch at Bondeni in Mombasa increasing its footprint in Mombasa to two branches. The two latest branches are strategically located and will enhance the bank’s reach in key business locations which catering to a diverse mix of customer segments and industries that include Commercial Enterprises, Small and Medium Enterprises and Individual customers.
“Since we launched the DIB brand in Kenya two years ago, one of our primary objective has been to expand our business in Kenya and to widen our branch network in order to be closer to our customers all over the country” said DIB Bank Kenya Chief Executive Officer Peter Makau. “The new branch, which is conveniently located at the Suhufi Plaza in Bondeni Mombasa along Abdul Nassir road, will give residents of Mombasa community the opportunity to benefit from DIB Bank Kenya’s Sharia-compliant banking products and services. Mombasa’s vibrant economy is largely driven by business emanating from Port of Mombasa, general trade, tourism, agricultural products such as tea and manufacturing including cement and DIB Bank Kenya aims at providing top-class banking solutions to these industries as well as the city’s growing resident population.
Currently, DIB has presence in Nairobi and Mombasa with 5 strategically located branches in these cities,” added Mr. Makau. Those present at the launch included Mombasa County Governor, H.E. Ali Hassan Joho, Mombasa County Senator Mohamed Faki Mwinyihaji, prominent Mombasa business personalities and DIB Directors Dr. Stephen Mainda and Mr. Michael Murphy.
